What a Child Abuse Free World Looks Like:
While we get this, some folks struggle with it (Really?), which kinda reminds us of the couple who goes into a fixer upper and doesn't get the potential the realtor is talking about, but hey, what do we know. So, here's what we think a world free of child abuse looks like:
| • Children have legal rights. | • Joy is a standard and customary part of every child's day. |
| • Children matter more to us than sex. | • Children and adults get equal respect. |
| • Our children's education is more important than our Congress's salary. | • Every child is raised in love, kindness, and dignity. |
| • Children receive the same health care benefits as our politicians. | • Every child is educated, clothed, fed, and safe. |
| • Our laws support and protect our children and their rights. | • Physical punishment isn't just outlawed but laughed at. |
| • We listen to our children. | • We invest as much in children's safety and protection as we do in our military. |
| • We do something when we see an injustice toward a child. | • Countries shut down when a child is missing. |
| • Every child gets the help he or she needs when they ask for it. | • Children are tried as children in a court of law. |
| • Children are humans rather than possessions. |
• Every child has innocence until innocence naturally turns to maturity. |
| • Children's bodies are their own; we ask their permission to touch them. |
• Children are viewed as children rather than sexual or financial opportunities. |
