Social Media Manager

Rainbird is a non-profit committed to the end of child abuse. Working via phone and internet, your average week is spent creating new and exciting ways to communicate with people around the world and, in particular, in America. You’ll have freedom to try anything at least once. If it works, you can do it as much as you like.

Objective

To promote Rainbird via social media around the world and educate, inspire, build a movement, and motivate people to end child abuse where they live.

Qualifications

  • Internet savvy w/YouTube, Fb, Twitter, Digg, Pinterest, Wikis, Flickr, Forums.
  • Functional knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS
  • Build social community and create a viable marketing strategy
  • Jump from creative to marketing to analytics with ease
  • Entrepreneurial about blogging, micro-blogging, and community partnering
  • Motivated at sourcing and managing content, developing it, and publishing
  • Understand the difference between brochure websites, publications, and feeds
  • Knowledge of SEO-think, to include basic keyword research
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Efficient organizational skills
  • Know how to keep up a social media file and a monthly calendar.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Research internet, social networks, publications, and phone/email
  • Data Analysis
  • Be the eyes and ears of our brand (the End of child abuse)
  • Generate daily content; build and maintain content distribution.
  • Interact with people; answer questions, comment, and build players/supporters
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content about our brand.
  • Report to appropriate parties and with legal & search agencies as needed
  • Keyword research including cataloging and indexing target keyword phrases
  • Optimize tags on feeds by sharing sites and search engines via creative keyword optimization. Tag and title content to search traffic. Provide rankings via content
  • Manage and track link building campaigns.
  • Give our Founder a Monthly Soc. Media Calendar the 1st day of the new month

Schedule/Hours

  • 15 hrs/wk, minimum

Administrative Assistant

Rainbird is a non-profit committed to the end of child abuse. Your average week in this volunteer position is spent scheduling, organizing, and managing projects and making Rainbird function optimally. You will bring state-of-the-art business and administrative skills to running Rainbird’s office.

Objective

Maintain and organize daily activities delegated to you from management.

Qualifications

  • Hard-working, reliable, and organized
  • Resourceful and innovative
  • Internet savvy, quick learner, team player
  • Familiar with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Professional writing skills
  • Able and willing to learn new computer programs/software
  • Responsible and honest
  • Comfortable talking on the phone with anyone
  • Some experience in office work/office management
  • Love details and prioritizing.
  • Excellent communication skills within a workplace. Able to ask for help.

Responsibilities

  • All office-related duties and errands
  • Manage phone & email communications; schedule events and Founder
  • Create graphic presentations and reports for both Mac and PC
  • Organize and complete projects, files, and events
  • Help build Rainbird systems

Requirements

  • 1 year commitment
  • 10 hrs/wk, minimum

Community Organizer

Rainbird is a non-profit committed to the end of child abuse. You work via internet and phone to find Leaders for each State or Region in the U.S. You will train your leaders in how to build a Rainbird and teach them how to recruit their own Leaders at the County and District level. You are passionate about child welfare and love empowering people to mobilize for the end of child abuse.

Objective

This special individual educates, inspires, and trains people to mobilize people to end child abuse.

  • Hard-working, organized, resourceful, innovative, and creative. Love details!
  • Responsible with an extraordinary level of integrity and maturity
  • Comfortable talking to anyone on the phone or internet. Internet savvy.
  • Comfortable with and effective at training people
  • Personable, approachable communicator

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Find Leaders for each county, district, region, or state
  • Train Leaders to teach people how to take a stand, join The Mob, and get started
  • Process leaders quickly, efficiently, and completely
  • Maintain and distribute information
  • Weekly phone, email, social media communication w/leaders
